Daniel Coston has contributed his photography to SouthPark Magazine since 2000, so you may recognize his photographic style in his upcoming photo exhibition, “When The Legends Come To Town.”
This compilation of legendary musicians comprises what Coston, 45, has photographed in Charlotte over the last 22 years. “It’s really running the gamut from Jerry Lee Lewis and Merle Haggard to Jay-Z…There are even pictures from the last Destiny’s Child tour. I’m really trying to cover all genres,” Coston says.
The photo exhibition will be held at the Knight Gallery at Spirit Square, and consist of about 100 photos, with more being added throughout the run. Photos will be on display by the end of the first full week of August, and will be up through the end of October.
There will not be an official opening date for the exhibition. However, Coston will throw a belated opening party as part of the Uptown Crawl from 6-9 p.m. on Aug. 23
