You’ve enjoyed drinking Juicy Jay I.P.A.s or Carolina Sparkle Party craft beers while sitting on the side patio at Legion Brewing in Plaza Midwood over the last two years. Starting in the fall of 2018, you’ll be able to experience its newest tap room location in SouthPark, too.
The owners of Legion Brewing signed a lease for a massive 8,500-square-foot tap room in the Capitol Towers Class-A office development. The building is at the corner of Carnegie Boulevard and Congress Street.
This will be the first locally owned brewery in the high-end SouthPark mall location. But this second Legion location will differ from the first by having a large outdoor beer garden, 4,000 square feet of private event spaces, parking deck access and a more upscale menu.
Bartenders will be able to serve 20 different beers at the wrap-around bar.
Your family and co-workers can enjoy entrees like Zucchini and Ricotta Grilled Pizza, Southern Pickled Shrimp, and Tender Grilled Skirt Steak Sandwiches..
If you’re looking for event space, then Legion Brewing’s newest location could fit your next party or corporate event. One event space will include its own private patio, while two other spaces will be upstairs on the Mezzanine level with an incredible view of the brewery and bar area.
But don’t be too worried if you think this second location will lose its farmhouse, rustic charm.
The owners of Legion Brewing have always said that “sharing good beer with friends is one of life’s great pleasures.”
While the SouthPark location will have a more modern, upscale appearance, there will still be a relaxed, inviting vibe that can let you escape from your hectic work day or busy traffic surrounding SouthPark Mall.
As for what you can enjoy at the original location in the meantime, Legion Brewing on Commonwealth Avenue is now offering 32-oz. crowler cans to purchase at the bar.
The staff is also celebrating two years with a 2nd Birthday Party on Saturday, Dec. 16 that will feature Brunch with Santa from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., plus three live bands throughout the avenue.
Two big cheers to Legion Brewing.
